Pamela Mota e Cunha Founder, Principal and Strategy Director, Real World Dialogue
Global communication strategist at the intersection of culture, language, and complex systems. As Principal of Real World Dialogue, I work with institutions, governments, and global organizations to navigate high-stakes communication—where clarity, trust, and cultural intelligence are critical to success.
My perspective is shaped by a cross-continental career spanning the fashion industry in Paris, diplomatic service in Washington, DC, and public health systems in Canada. Fluent in four languages, I bring both strategic precision, creativity and lived global experience to my work.
My expertise lies in crisis communication, inclusive communication frameworks, and intercultural strategy—guiding organizations to operate effectively across diverse populations and rapidly evolving environments. My work on emergency communication access with Provincial Language Services reflects a broader commitment to building resilient, equitable communication systems at scale.
I have hosted high-profile engagements with leading international and cultural institutions, including Care International, Meridian International, the Smithsonian Institution, the Washington Opera, the International Global Club, the Philadelphia Museum, and hemispheric organizations such as the Organization of American States and the Inter-American Dialogue. I have been featured in DC Magazine as one of “12 people who drive DC’s style,” recognized for having “the smarts, strength and style to conquer the social scene in Washington.”
Operating at both strategic and advisory levels, I partner with leadership to align communication with complexity—ensuring organizations are not only understood, but trusted, in a globally interconnected world.
Most recently, I worked with the Provincial Language Services, Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA), to create an Emergency Communication Outreach Framework designed to ensure language access during public health emergencies. My deliverable was described as “outstanding and a valuable tool for driving change,” with my dedication and expertise making “a substantial impact” and continuing to “inspire and facilitate progress in this area.”
Today, I channel that same resilience and insight to help organizations foster collaboration, strengthen communication and drive lasting impact.
A Master’s in Intercultural and International Communication. Fluent in four languages, I combine academic insight with lived global experience to help organizations communicate internally and externally across cultures, fostering collaboration and building strategies that make a lasting impact.
